This is a extremely fine coin, in pure gold, of Maximinus II. Very very rare.
This is not a fouree or a suberatus follis but it is known, in USA numismatic
auctions, like a AV (Gold) Commemorative series coin. It was a coin made of pure gold to commemorate and celebrate the most known series of an emperor, normally they are found like the covered aureii.
It is ancient, authentic and genuine, and it is sold under the italian law about numismatic matters (2006): receipt, certificate of authenticity and photograph.

It's like a follis... but in GOLD!!!!!!!

The coin was covered with a thin layer of copper.
