Hi Neiner,

Is it really an uniquehorn ?
For me, it lookes more like a panther under ING as a german friend has informed me. He says that this piece comes form Bayern-Ingolstadt.

I think so.
There exists a bavarian coin that is very similar to this one. But the bavarian coin shows a horse (or with many phantasie a panther) and the lettes RL on the one side. On the other side is the bavarian flag. This coin is listed under number 41 by J.P. Baierlein in his book "Die bayrischen Münzen des Hauses Wittelsbach". This is the most important source for bavarian coins in the middle age. Baierlein also describes your coin as not from bavaria in his explanations (have a look to side 21 in his book and you will find this).
The uniquehorn is a typical sign for austrian pennies. If you look to the head of the horse (not panther), you will see the horn going down (not up)! It is not good to see at your coin but it is there.
Greetings.

Hi Neuner,

Thanks a lot for your explanation. Looking carefully I finally see what you describe ...really a hard work. I never imagined a horn going down !!! ... brilliant design for so old age ¡¡¡
