Thank you,
I can see where the "15" of the date is, but I can't see anything of the rest of the numbers

Help to Identify

Please excuse my posting in English. This is a coin from my grandfather's collection. I cannot identify it. Most of his coins are from the eastern parts of Germany, also Poland, Lithuania and Austria. I can see a few letters, and perhaps a crown and a shield. Three pictures of one side: PXL_20250917...

Re: Prussia 1/3 Thaler but different

I'd be happy to make a thread about my collection if people are interested. Most of the coins are not rare and quite worn. A few are more exciting. There are also a few that I have not identified, so maybe I'll wait until that is complete. Perhaps most interesting to me is what he chose to collect, ...

Re: Prussia 1/3 Thaler but different

Thank you. It makes sense because the weight is less and it did not look like silver. I guess I have to look again at all my coins.

Prussia 1/3 Thaler but different

Please excuse my English. I am happy if you reply in German. I have a coin that looks like a 1774 1/3 Thaler, Prussia, Frederick II. (The coin is 19mm and 6.7g) But there are differences. On the side with the head, the letters "BORUSSORUM" read as "BORUSSO" + "ORUM" and the two sections are not in t...

Silver version of Prussia 1701 One Ducat

Please excuse that I cannot speak German. I am trying to understand what this coin is. It is 23mm and 7.3g. It looks the same as the Prussia, 1701 (Friedrich I) one Ducat. But it appears to be silver, not gold, and the weight is much more than 3.45g. This coin came from my grandfather's collection. ...

Pls help identify

Sorry for my English. I think this coin is Altdeutschland because it is from my grandfather's collection of mostly German coins, also some Austria and Bohemia. The coin is 16mm and 0.7 g The first side has perhaps a helmet or coat of arms, a cross or eagle in the middle and two stars opposite the ma...

Re: Vorstellungsthread für Neumitglieder

Hello, I am sorry that I can only post in English. Of course I am happy to receive your replies in German, translate works quite well for reading. I am an accidental coin collector. My father brought a coin collection when he moved from Germany in 1949. He dies a while ago and we thought it was lost...
