Hello ,

We see on the rev. ( 4 x letter B shapes ) the coat of arms of Montferrat ( Casale) blood line : Paleologo , Italy
These symbols are already used by the Palaeologo dynasty of the late Byzantine Empire and Serbian.
This coin looks more Western European .

Thanks a lot, Pinpoint,

After youur message, I,ve begin to 'investigate' with your information and I think I have finally 'discovered the truth' about it.
This coin is a Crusaders AE denier from Mytilene (Lesbos) under the house of Gattilusio (Francesco II Gattilusio (1396-1400)) , a genoese powerful family who controlled a number of possessions in the northern Aegean Sea in those years.

Thanks a lot for your help.
