Ich wünsche, wo das Aluminium 1935 50Rpf (Jaeger 368) gehalten wurde, bis 1939 wissen.

Ich schätze, daß die Münzen in 1 Platz, vermutlich in Berlin gehalten wurden. Jedermann wissen wo?

Irgendein schätzt? Reichsministry der Finanzen wölbungen?

Was meinst Du mit "gehalten"? Meinst Du "geprägt" ?

I wish to know würde ich übersetzen mit "Ich wünsche zu wissen" oder einfacher "Ich möchte wissen".

everyone müsste man in diesem Fall mit Jemand übersetzen.

(Gut dass niemand mein English überprüft, aber Dein Deutsch wird besser).

Ich lese Deine Fragen mit großem Interesse und bin erstaunt, wie wenig ich davon beantworten kann. Dass die Münzen in allen sechs deutschen Münzstätten geprägt wurde, wirst Du schon wissen, oder?

I must admit, I'm finding German harder than I expected; Or possibly its simply because I'm trying to get too complex too soon?

But yes, KarlAntonMartini figured it out. I'm trying to find out where the Aluminium 50Rpf were stored/held/kept from 1935 until 1939.

I was wondering last night, while I was typing some paragraphs on those coins, where they went for 4 years. Were they stored at the mints (unlikely)? Or brought together somewhere (more likely), probably in a vault in Berlin I'm guessing (Most likely). I'm not sure if it is known for sure, but I find little details like that interesting.

As Karl suggests, the Reich Treasury/Reichsministeriums der Finanzen Cellar is probably a likely place!

One day I'd like to spend 12 months or so in Germany; I personally think thats the best way to learn a language. Hear it, speak it, read it every day and have to use it in a 'Practical' sense.

Tu das, wenn Du in die Nähe von Stuttgart kommst melde Dich, in der Regel ist immer ein Gästebett frei.

Zur Sache selbst kann ich nichts beitragen, ist denn nachweisbar, dass das Stück auch 1935 geprägt wurde oder stammt nur der Stempel oder die Vorschrift zur Münze aus dem Jahr?

The archive of Muldenhütten is kept by the Bergarchiv Freiberg/Saxony. I found out they have a Album with photographs of the buildings. They also have documents of the thirties, so one should find out when they got the order of minting the 1935 50 Pfennigs and also where those pieces were sent. - You are welcome in Dresden (but its definitely not a place to learn german). I'm not really sure what your second paragraph said tho (my german is crap! ), but if youre asking if the coins were made in 1935 or if the stamp just said 1935, I'm pretty sure they were made in 1935 and stored. As I understand it, in Germany a coin must be stamped with the year its made, even if it is going straight into storage.


It seems that, like pretty much every other country in the world, Germany has localised accents too

1. Stuttgart ist 30 km entfernt, zu weit zum Laufen, aber wir haben S-Bahn (train).

2. Man wird überall in Deutschland auf Dialekte stoßen, aber ein erstaunlich großer Anteil an Deutschen versteht auch Hochdeutsch. Es gibt aber auch die geschichte, dass sich ein bayer und ein Hamburger auf Englisch unterhalten haben, weil sie sich sonst nicht verstanden hätten.

3. Ein beliebiges 10 Pfenning Stück mit Datum von 1950 ist mitnichten 1950 geprägt worden. das war nur erforderlich, weil das Gesetz eine Prägezahl von 1950 vorsah. Prägezeitraum war von 1950 bis etwa 1966.

I phoned today with a lady working at the archive in Freiberg who told me she herself had researched these files and she talked spontaneously about the photo-album.

Usually the coinage to be produced was announced in the RGBl. That was always the case, but for he 1935 coinage there seems to be no such announcement? But I haven't searched carefuly enough to be sure.

I suppose you work on behalf of a University or a similiar Institution. It could be helpful to send me an official letter via mail asking for assistance, I could give this letter to the archive with a translation (They won't understand english, its east germany...). Possibly they will be able to produce copies of the photographs or other documents. Cheers, KarlAntonMartini

Im Studying AT University, not WORKING FOR Uni. Which means I dont have much money (being a student financially sucks ), but I'm sure I could write up a letter, explaining who I am and what Im doing; its worth a try. On Paper or Electronic?

The worst they can say is NO, or ask me for several hundred Euro! (which has been the response from a few archive's so far... some have been great, some have ignored me, some have asked me for huge sums of money!)...

Ich habe mich bisher in diese Diskussion bzw. Recherche nicht eingemischt, weil ich leider keine produktive Hilfe dabei sein kann.

Aber ich wollte mal sagen, dass ich es ganz toll finde, wie ihr dem Euch doch ganz unbekannten zaggy helft, seine Informationen zu bekommen. Das zeichnet dieses Forum aus und macht es wirklich zu einem äußerst angenehmen Plätzchen im Internet. Und es ist nebenbei auch eine gute Visitenkarte für unser Land.
