habe heute bei einem kauf von verschiedenen Antiquitäten auch diese Münze bekommen. Sieht aus wie Gold, ist aber etwas zu leicht. nehme an es ist eine Fälschung, allein schon des Datums wegen, oder irre ich mich da.
Falls man das Foto nicht sehen kann: Vorderseite Adolf Hitler mit Datum 1889 - 1945 Rückseite Reichsadler mit hackenkreuz und " ein Volk ein Reich ein Führer" Größe ca 35mm

Es ist keine Münze, sondern eine Medaille. Gold ist es sichernicht nicht. Eher "Nordisches Gold".

Hakenkreuz, nicht Hackenkreuz!

Da gabs doch mal so ne Medaillenserie...in dieser Hinsicht finde ich die Medaille besonders mit der Umschrift auch schon irgendwie geschmacklos...ich nehme an, daß das Teil vergoldet worden ist, hätte gedacht, daß ich es schonmal in silbrigem Metall gesehn hab (whs Cu/Ni).

Ive seen photo's of these before. They are indeed a 'medallion'. I dont ahve any references on hand, so Im going from memory now. I MAY be wrong.

There were some produced right after the war in 1945/46 and then another series started showing up in the late 1970's (?). I've heard rumours of them being produced more recently too (for the North American market). I do not have enough knowledge in these sorts of things to be able to tell you where this one came from. I've only read about these things once or twice!

They are indeed made from Nordic Gold (probably in a composition something like: Kupfer (Cu) .890, Aluminium (Al) 0.050 and Zinn (Sn) 0.010), but can also be found in a Cupro-Nickel (probably: Kupfer (Cu) 0.250, Nickel (Ni) 0.750) apparently.

There is also some 'Gold', Falsified 100RM coins like this too (Hilter Kopf/Brandenburger gate), but they too were medalions modified to look like coins.

Now, I honestly dont know what theyre worth. Some people tell me theyre worthless, others tell me they maybe worth some thing to the right person. Are you looking to sell it? Either way, I would like to ask you if I could get some better photo's of it? Or even put it on a scanner?

I have been considering adding a 'Medallions and Falsifications' section to my paper at some stage...

I'd be interested to know what someone with more knowledge and expertise (in falsifications and medallions) and I, thinks about it!

Could be brass too... Medallions are not really what I read much about (I tend to skip the medallion stuff and go straigh for the coins).

This brings me to a question actually... I've seen pictures of some 'falsifications' recently (100RM Hilter coins, Schiller's and some claimed Proben). And Im wondering, HOW do people actually MAKE those things?

I look at this medallion too, and think that this is probably not the work of a commercial mint? (I would think commercial mints would steer clear of making falsifications and Nazi items???)

What does it take for an individual to strike their own coins/medallions?

Making the die is going to be hard enough, but then the pressure involved in the strike is going to put this sort of thing beyond most people!

Ich wecke mal diesen alten Post auf, da ich auch solche Medaillen habe. Ich habe sie in einer goldfarbenen und silberfarbenen Legierung.

Darf man diese Dinger eigentlich legal besitzen und verkaufen? Wegen des Hakenkreuzes dürfte zumindest die Veräußerung und Präsentation nicht erlaubt sein (die sind ja nicht aus dem dritten Reich).
Ich überlege die Teile vielleicht auf einer ausländischen eBay-Seite anzubieten.

Was genau man damit jetzt anfangen soll oder kann wurde damals ja leider nicht geklärt.

In Deutschland bringt dieser Müll beim Verkauf regelmäßig Ärger, bei den üblichen Auktionsplattformen wird es oft gleich gelöscht, es kann auch zu einer Anzeige nach § 86 StGB führen.
Mittlerweile problemlos ist nur der Verkauf zeitgenössiger Münzen aus dem 3.Reich auf ebay-kleinanzeigern werden aber selbst diese Angebote gelöscht.
Auf delcampe interessiert es offenbar niemanden.

Vielen Dank für die Info. Ich werde sie einfach in eine dunkle Ecke legen und eventuell mal einem geneigten Käufer aufs Auge drücken.
Oder sie gehen eben irgendwann in die Scheideanstalt, sollen die sich damit rumplagen.
