Hallo liebes Forum,
Habe hier mal ne Frage bezüglich 2 Reichsmark Luther.Ich habe vor kurzem eine 2 Reichsmarkmünze Martin Luther 1933 J gekauft.Nun ist mir aufgefallen das die Randschrift von der Adlerseite her auf dem Kopf steht.Nun meine Frage,ist das eine besondere Variante oder ist das öfter passiert?

I may need help with the translation, BUT 2360lexus, you're saying you have a LUTHER 2RM that has DIFFERENT Randschrift to your other Luther's? Can you explain more about the Randschrift.

Is the schrift Antiqua/Normalschrift?
OR
Is the schrift Frakturschrift?

Why do I ask? There is a known set of Variants of this coin. In 1933, EACH Mint in the Reich produced 100 of each 2RM and 5RM as an experiment, that had the Randschrift in a Fraktur Typeface.

If indeed this is one of those coins, PLEASE TAKE PHOTO's for me!

Alternatively, if its just the fact that the Randschrift is 'upside down' on your 1933J, from what I understand, you have a 50/50 chance of the Randschrift being either way up. The Edge inscription is made when the plachet's are being processed and annealed BEFORE being Struck.

wenn Rändeln und Prägen nicht in einem Arbeitsgang erfolgen, sollte die Häufigkeit bei 50% liegen. Prägeautomaten, die das beherrschen gibt es noch gar nicht so lange und es sind auch nur wenige davon im Einsatz.
