Obverse: Uncle Sam 'manning the rudder' of an armed sailing vessel. In border, "Friedensziele" (Objects of peace).

Reverse: Englishman, shipwrecked, trying to catch a life-buoy marked, "Amerika". In border, "3. Februar 1917".

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MEDAL

(regardless the political background that really created this object - 3rd Reich medals are comparable within political and therefore cultural evidence)

Für Kurt Goetz eine sehr interessante frühe Zuwendung zum realen Politikverständnis (was man später leider vermisst).
