Hello,

The other side of coin is not so good but it looks like a ship.
Can someone please to put better picture of this coin from both sides?
Also what is the year of coin?

Hier gibts ein besser erhaltenes Exemplar: http://www.google.de/imgres?safe=off&hl ... x=58&ty=73
Ich komme jetzt leider nicht dazu, die Signatur aufzulösen. Nürnberg, 18. Jhdt. Grüße, KarlAntonMartini

Hello, this is a german counter (rechenpfennig) from nuremberg as numis-student wrote.
ANFANG BEDENCK DAS ENDE – (At the) beginning, consider the end
if you could also post the picture of the backside of your counter, it would be much easier.
it has been struck between 1700 and 1799.

Thank you all for your answers!
dear KarlAntonMartini thank you for the link but this pic. you give me is not exactly the same is writing DAS END and mine is writing DAS ENDE, also the stars are different too.
As i said before i can't give picture from back side because from oxidation is not clear but it looks like a ship.

As this type was struck by several manufacturers and over a long period in high numbers to be sold all over Europe and the Colonies, many varieties appear. May be on your piece the signature of the maker is legible?
Best regards, KarlAntonMartini

Your counter must be made by Johann Adam Vogel, his initials I.A.V. are under the ship.
