Hello yoda, in the Joseph und Fellner catalogue which you mention there is quite a number of similar medals cast in white metal. Yours is indeed No. 1201. The first of them comes with a note, "This and all the following cast medals were made in crude style in Frankfurt during the time of the revolution, as Rüppell suggests, most probably at the initiative of the Russian Prince Gagarin who lived in Frankfurt at that time. There are other medals with similar emblems and revolutionary inscriptions on the Erfurt parliament, the fight on the Dresden barricades, the provisional government of Baden, the Palatinate, etc."
E. Rüppell published some articles on the medals of Frankfurt in a periodical between 1855 and 1877.
So it does not say who actually made these items.
They are all rare, but they are ugly, with no artistic merit at all, and therefore the collectors treat them with reserve and do not pay high prices for them.

@mumde
thank you for this information it is very usefull
, not only it's looks but also the story behind it makes it a uniek piece for me, and i also think for others.
since The Deutsch Historical Museum doesn't have it in it's collection and took great intrest in it i have offerd it to them,
i think the museum will be a better place for it then a private collection
best regards
john
