Hallo,
ich katalogisiere gerade die Sammlung meines Opas und komme bei einigen Münzen nicht weiter. Vielleicht kann der eine oder andere mir was dazu sagen.

Dear zauberpeter.
The mint name is clearly stated on the reverse: "Zuriba fi Tarabulus Gharb", which means: struck at Tarabulus Gharb (= Tripoli, Libya). The ruler's name can be found on the obverse: "Selim ibn Mustafa" (Selim, son of Mustafa). This can only be Selim III (1789-1807). In the "World Coins" 18th century catalogue, three types matching your coin are listed:

5 para: 25 mm, 1.20 g: KM# 63.
10 para: 1.94-3.30 g: KM# 61.
15 para: 30 mm, 5.30 g: KM# 59.

All of them are quite expensive!

Best regards,
Vincent.

Hi there.
In 'fine' condition it is valued at $ 60 - 100. :-) I have no idea if these prices are realistic.

Regards,
Vincent.
