Hallo,

ich habe hier eine indische Münze ( 25 Naye Paise (N) 1957, 1959±1963 ),
eigentlich Massenware, also nichts Besonderes. Auf der Aversseite fehlt auf
den ersten Blick vom Jahr die letzte Ziffer. Wenn man die Jahreszahlen vergrößert,
dann könnte doch eine Zahl zu erkennen sein. Vielleicht war ein verschmutzter
Stempel die Ursache. Ich lese da eine 5 , bin mir aber nicht sicher, was meint
Ihr dazu

I also think "grease-filled" dies, and I agree with you about the date. This is a 1965 25-paise, not a 1963 25-new paise.

Seeing this coin made me smile--last night I was playing with a 1923 500-mark piece with the same affliction!

Errors of this kind are common when the coin made of aluminum
exists. My coin was minted only until 1963, not 1965 happen

The key, I think, is the writing under the "25." It conforms to the "paise" types of 1964 and later, rather than the "new paise" type of 1957-1963.
