Hi,

As you can see in the pictures attached the coin is not in best condition but can be seen a crowned bear and the date 1621. That's why I suspect this coin is from canton of saint gallen.
Can anyone confirm my suspects or I'm wrong ?

I think that I can read *M....HASS 1621 on the side with the bear. This means that the bear is a crowned lion, and the legend is *MAUR. D.G. LAND. HASS 1621 . The reverse with the crowned double eagle would then have the legend: FERD. II. D.G. ROM. IMP. S.A . This would mean that it is Hessen, Moritz, 1592-1627, Kipper Schreckenberger 1621, mint Kassel. These were made from very poor silver, more copper than silver.
The bear of St. Gallen was not crowned.
