CFDL:
I sent the following email to Dr Peus
---------------------------------
Dear Sir:
I was looking at Auction 401 and I saw some coins that may have some tooling, such as
http://www.sixbid.com/nav.php?p=viewlot&sid=305&lot=550
http://www.sixbid.com/nav.php?p=viewlot&sid=305&lot=581
http://www.sixbid.com/nav.php?p=viewlot&sid=305&lot=475
If a coin is tooled or repatinated, do you disclose this in the auction description?
Thank you,
Cliff Laubstein

Here is their response-
Dear Sir,
tooling yes, repatination or rather patina repairs only in extreme cases.
I am, however, aware of the fact that this information has been accidentally omitted in the case of several Sicilian and Roman Republican bronzes in this catalogue. Those coins will be withdrawn from the sale.
Sincerely yours
Wilhelm Müseler
