Hi aidab
It is a provicial coin of Septimius Severus. But it looks suspicious. I think it´s a modern Fake. It´s a cast coin.
regards
Antonian

Hi,

not Septimius, its a provincial coin of Lucius Verus 161/162 AD (from Gadara in Syria, city of Dekapolis):

Spijkerman 51 (if right arm of Zeus outstretched only and nothing holding), Rosenberger 56
AYT KAICAP Λ AYP OYHPOC
ΠΟΓΑΔAP(WN) IAAΓ KCEY , in pediment EKC (year 225) - Zeus seated left in a temple
look here:http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/ric/luci ... pij_51.jpg

And in my opinion yours not a fake, its authentic.

best regards

Many thanks for so quick answer & information. Knowing it's procedence, I also think this coin is authentic. I aslo asked to a local coin dealer, and he didn't advise any suspicion.
