Re: ID help Celtic
Hi,
I know what‘s pictured there: It isn‘t a horse! It is a Capricornus with a Globe below (not a dot).
And it‘s the bust of Hermes.
Well, it could be a Celtic imitation…
But look here:

https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=9950747
Syrtica, Sabratha Pseudo-autonomous issue. Time of Augustus to Tiberius, circa 27 BC - AD 37. Draped bust of Hermes to left, wearing petasos; [SBRT'N] (in Neo-Punic script) upwards before, winged caduceus behind / Capricorn to right, with cornucopiae, rudder and globe.
Kind regards,
Lackland

Re: ID help Celtic
@Lackland
Thanks for your excellent research work ! I couldn't find a match of this coin.
It's a capricorn instead a horse ! Therefor I searched in the wrong direction .
The hypothese it is a Celtic imitation is plausible !
Very interesting coin !
