Congratulation KC for the Gordian I! @wall-ie I saw it and I don't understand... I have one in my collection got it for 55€ on ebay (2011) it's quite rare but I have some other specimens in my database... so CGB sold one in 2009 for 165€ (auction monnaie 38), a french friend have 1 in his collection...

Nice coin Andreas! it seems it was repaired in the PIVS, but the stype is quite strange, espacially the nose of Gordian... it could be an ancient imitation but hard to tell...

Nice coins Wall-IE, those are quite rare coins, for FIDES MILITVM you got it near CGB, I think it was quite expensive, but I was following it since a while.
the P M TR P III is realy rare, and of an impressive quality! I didn't knew that specimen, only the 8th in my database!

Ich habe diesen GORDIAN III Antoninianus wohl RIC 172 aus einem Lot mit Fälschungen (Lotti.FALSI da STUDIO.Lotto di 4 FALSI da STUDIO.) gefischt und frage mich, warum die Münze verdammt wurde, da sie in Hand eigentlich ok aussieht aber unattraktiv ist wegen Stempelfehler etc. Rand sieht ok aus, kei...

Realy nice coin, congratulation! You are right, the provincial coinage was freer than the imperial coinage because it is a local coinage which only circulated in the towns of the region where they were issued. This is why they are not qualified as the imperial currencies that each city has issued it...
