I would appreciate if anyoune could confirm me the offcial weight of the 42 Sols 1831 pattern.
I have this item that has a medal strike has a weight of 7,3 gr, and I wonder if it is correct or not .

IMHO: At the first sight it looks like a cast/fake (revers surface, avers bead-frames, letters "CANTON" and ...). But: Errrare humanum est. Have you better pics?

In an old auction (1931, Lot 2478) I saw the descripion without pic: later made fake, vf (and your piece is vf):

.. may be .. I don't know, but anyone can confirm me the exact weight of an original 1841 pattern ?
