Hi,
This square coin weights 11.4 gr and presents arabic characters. I think it is from Moghul Empire in India but I'm not sure as quite always.
I can not see any date, so I don't know what emperor/king allocate ..
Mughal empire rupee?

Hi aidab,
it's a temple token allright, an imitation of the square rupees struck under Akbar the Great (1556 - 1605). Inside the square standing on its corner you read the kalima, in the four angles the names of the four first caliphs. The other side cites a blessing on the ruler. There are countless variants of this token and not all are made of silver. I think your token hasn't been struck under the mughals but maybe from the end of the 19th to the beginning of the 20th century, maybe even later.
Regards klaupo
