hi i have a problem with a coin, sorry i can't speak German, but i will speak in English, hope that you will understand.i have this coin 5 mark 1877 gold 900 2g, but i don't know for sure if it is proof or it is fake.i hope you can help me with this problem and i want to know some detailes about it starting with the weight, size, value, etc. I will attach the files with the containing pictures in this message.

this is definitely a forgery.
Always be careful when you see a German gold coin with frosty portrait and eagle. This is either a coin in proof condition (only to be bought froma reliable dealer) or a modern forgery.
Among some other details, just look at the rim (Randstab). There is no even width on both sides - impossible for a genuine coin.
Most German 5-mark-coins on gold sold privately are modern forgeries.

Well, provided your coin is 900 fine it should at least have a buillon value. I hope you did not pay too handsome.

Thickness ( measured at rim ) : 0,57 - 0,63
Weight : 1,975 - 1,991

The genuin Saxony goldfiver is priced at € 500 - 1000 in accordance to its state.
The forgery ( if 90 % gold ) is worth not more than todays value of 1,79 g pure gold.
