Two Caesars
Dear Experts,
I can't identify these coins with the help of the internet. I think both are Julius Caesar's minting but under which catalogue number?
A: Ag. 18 mm. Woman's head right/peasant with yoke of oxen plowing right IMP.CAESA...
B: Ag. 16 mm. Elephant right (with a seal above, with a ligature: MVES.) below there is an unreadable text/caduceus CBIENV
Thank you for the help.

The second one is no problem
http://www.coinarchives.com/a/lotviewer ... 4&Lot=1824
But the first one puzzles me.
The countermark is IMP VESP, used by the troups of Titus during the war in Iudaea, mostly found on denarii of the Roman Republic.
I have no idea regarding the undertype
Where does the coin come from?
Regards

Hi stealth!
For the coin with the ploughing oxes look at http://www.coinarchives.com/a/results.p ... and+caesar
If I see a coin with an elephant and a caduceus I must think on coins of Baktria. But on ConArchives I find only coins with an elephant's head.
Best regards
